We're running out of places to do "first" live broadcasts from... But we are thrilled to be at Radford this Friday.
The Rams host the Kapolei Hurricanes Friday at 7:30pm on OC16.
Radford has been one of those teams that seems to fluctuate between the OIA Red and White divisions every few years. A bit too strong for the D2 white division but lacking a few horses to stay up on the D1 red.

The summer was a busy one for Mililani High School off the field.
Literally.
The administration lobbied the BOE to release monies in the state budget to replace the worn down, beat up, and dangerous grass/mud/hard clay multi-purpose stadium field.
Their efforts did get the project moved up on the priority list. But will it be high enough to get done soon?
As of today (August 11) the school has had no news but it should come soon.
Until then the student-athletes (football, socc...

We're plowing right through July and before you know it, it will be prep football time! I think high school football is one of the most fun and special seasons to cover.
So with that said... Let me present the schedule for August and into mid-September.

My soccer fever never reached anything more than a degree or two above regular body temperature as a kid.
Two seasons of being a goalie when you're eight was enough. At that point in time being in the line of fire wasn't my idea of fun.
So while I respected the "beautiful game" - it was more in the background.
Fast forward to this day and age.
Soccer has obviously grown in popularity and skill of all levels of players from youth on up.

This past Saturday OC16 aired the Miss Hawaii Scholarship Pageant.
Your's truly was tabbed as one of the producers for the television broadcast side of things. All because I opened my mouth during a staff meeting to offer up suggestions to mix up the TV coverage.
To my surprise my boss liked the ideas and threw me into the pageant fire...lol...
